College Football Playoff: How Does It Work?

Through the history things that are so popular nowadays, most of them, had a difficult beginning, with failure and an unattractive profile which engaged lots of people like some of them do now; cases like Disney or apple for example.

Going to another point, the American Football has too much to thanks to the College football, where its popularity grew.

Any American football fan has seen at least once, a college game. These matches are that exciting as NFL one.

The American football beginnings were not that kind, this game started in a difficult position without enough options. This sport gathered higher popularity within the audience when two universities faced each other in an American Football game; they were Rutgers vs.Princeton.

The game caught a better public acceptation after that event, becoming this way the first American Football match played.

Somehow the American Football had gotten an opportunity between sports because of that and even more after a match which gave pass to the major football event ever, the Super Bowl.

People got excited while watching two team lines formed by college students, and these matches gathered hundreds of people until gathering thousands and millions. The new promise, college men becoming professional players,some of those men used this sport to get a scholarship, others to get a place into the NFL.

American Football College Playoffs

In American Football, the college games are as important as other events within this sport. One of the most important and exciting developments, is the College Playoffs.

So, how does it work? Playoffs is a college tournament which involves American Football teams from different universities. The event consists on selecting four champion teams, the top four of the NCAA to compete between them to get the winner in the FBS.

The marches consist of facing these teams the 1st against the 4th, and the 2nd against the 3rd.

The teams selected don’t have to be the best, they are chosen and appear in a random position. Finally, two winners should face each other to be the champion in the College Football Championship Game. Here, the committee which select the best teams of the season is compound for twelve people.

This tournament begins on 2014 until now and has become one of the most popular and important event within the Game, getting millions’ view. The games are on 31/12 and 01/01 every year. The top teams pass through a selection made for a committee of very influential people in this game.

The two Battles take place as six bowls named: Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, Peach Bowl, Fiesta Bowl. These places change year after year taking the two firsts, next year is other two until taken the six, and the next year this starts again.

The games are on 31/12 and 01/01 with a lapse of six days to the final Battle. (Six days after those matches.)

How Were The Past Playoffs Results?

The first playoffs played in 2014-15 had these four teams: Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Oregon Ducks, and Florida State Seminoles; facing Ohio vs. Oregon with a result of 42 – 20 winning Ohio. These matches were in Sugar and Rose Bowl.

The second Playoffs in 2015-16 were performed for Clemson Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners, Alabama Crimson Tide, Michigan State Spartans and facing at last Clemson and Alabama getting 45 to Alabama and 40 to Crimson. These matches were in Orange and Cotton  Bowl.

The third college Playoffs in 2016-17 faced Washington Huskies, Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, and Ohio State Buckeyes. The final match was between Alabama and Clemson with a board of 31 – 34 winning Clemson Tigers. The places used were Peach and Fiesta Bowl.

And the last Playoffs this 2017-18 season faced Clemson Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs and Oklahoma Sooners. The places to be used are Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl; and giving at the end a Battle between Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs with a board 26 – 23 winning Alabama.

Is the NCAA that Important?

This college Playoffs is so important within the Sport. These playoffs join millions and lots of great young players. It is a fantastic event celebrated every 31st December and 1st January, and the Battle to the championship is awesome, a great experience to live.

This Playoffs event is the dream of any young player, there you can become a Professional, shine in front of a million people and get lots of working benefits, scholarships and more. There’s no better chance for players who want to be known.

Here, good and not good enough teams have the possibility to participate as it is a random selection. If the team have had a good performance during the season, it is possible to be selected; this is the way anybody has chance to show their abilities.

So, College Playoffs are the dream of young American Football Players. The battle date is set and you cannot lose it!
